When my late husband, Mark Cohen z'l, and I first saw the tremendous potential in this material, we decided to translate and publish Rabbi Ashlag's Introductions to the Kabbalah into English so that others could also access this material and enhance their lives. To this date, we have brought out four books.

I have helped small groups and individuals learn this material for 20 years. My Rabbi is Rabbi Avraham Mordecai Gottlieb Shlita, the head of the Beit Midrash, Bircat Shalom in Kiryat Yearim, Israel. Rabbi Gottleib totally supports my work. I also have Haskamot from Rabbi Shmuel Eliahu, Chief Rabbi of Tsfat, the late Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, z'tz'l, and from Rabbi Moshe Weinberger of Aish Kodesh, Woodmere, New York.

 Rabbi Yehudah Leib Ashlag

Rabbi Yehudah Leib Ashlag is known as the Baal Hasulam, the Master of the Ladder after his monumental commentary on the Zohar called the "Sulam" commentary. With this work and his seminal writings on the Torah of the holy Ari, he opened up the wisdom of Kabbalah for ordinary people. Like Rav Kook, his friend and colleague, he understood the time had come to reveal this deep and intimate part of the Torah.

On the one hand, we are the generation in which the footsteps of the Messiah can be heard, but on the other hand, ours is a generation of tremendous spiritual and moral poverty. Through these great teachings, we can tilt ourselves and the world to the side of good.

At the heart of Rabbi Ashlag's teachings lie the connections between all elements of this world with their spiritual roots in the higher worlds of consciousness. By learning the relationship of the physical branches with their spiritual roots, we can understand the consequences and impacts of our decisions and choices more clearly.
